(Don&#8217;t pass your private key! The public key!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3 &#8211; SSH to droplet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To ssh to the droplet you need to copy get the droplet&#8217;s ip address and go the the terminal (on Linux or use <a href=\"https:\/\/putty.org\/\">PuTTy<\/a> on Windows) and type:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>ssh root@your-droplet-ip-adress<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4 &#8211; Purshase a domain domain and point it to the Digital Ocean nameservers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can purchase your domain using my affiliate link on Hostgator<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-light-green-cyan-to-vivid-green-cyan-gradient-background has-background\" href=\"\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Purchase a domain name<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7 &#8211; Point your domain name to Digital Ocean&#8217;s Nameservers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>To point your domain name to Digital Ocean nameserver, go to your domain name provider account and set the name servers to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>ns1.digitalocean.com\nns2.digitalocean.com\nns3.digitalocean.com<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8 &#8211; Get our domain name secured using Let&#8217;s Encrypt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First we need to ssh to our Droplet and Install certbot<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>add-apt-repository ppa:certbot\/certbot\napt update\napt install python-certbot-nginx<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then we need to add our domain name in default Nginx file<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>nano \/etc\/nginx\/sites-availables\/default<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Search for<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>server_name _;<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">and replace it with<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>server_name YOURDOMAINNAME.COM;<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Execute:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>ufw allow 'Nginx Full'<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then execute<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>ufw enable<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally execute<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>ufw allow 'OpenSSH'<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To check everything execute:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>ufw status<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You should get<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>Status: active\n\nTo                         Action      From\n--                         ------      ----\nNginx Full                 ALLOW       Anywhere                  \nOpenSSH                    ALLOW       Anywhere                  \nNginx Full (v6)            ALLOW       Anywhere (v6)             \nOpenSSH (v6)               ALLOW       Anywhere (v6)    <\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Time to execute certbot<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Execute:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>certbot --nginx -d erpodootraining.online<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enter and email and agree to the terms.
